Get modem

modem is a terminal program. It runs a real Bell 103 connection at 300 baud between two machines over their sound cards, performs the full dial-up modem handshake out loud before connecting, and draws a live waterfall of the tones while it happens. The same Hayes commands a real modem took - ATDT to dial, ATA to answer - still work.

Native binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows are built by the project's own release workflow, and each one is run before it is published rather than merely compiled.

Or build it yourself: cargo run --release -p modem-tui. Linux needs libasound2-dev for the sound card.
